Next week, former Beatles
' drummer Ringo Starr
will be releasing his nineteenth album, Give More Love,
on September 15th.
Give More Love
will feature 10 new tracks that Ringo has been working on since the release of his last album, Postcards From Paradise
in 2015. Ringo has quite an impressive lineup of collaborators on this album including Peter Frampton, Steve Lukather (Toto), and composer Van Dyke Parks. The album also features Starr's Beatles' bandmate Paul McCartney
on bass and backing vocals on two of the songs (including single "We're On The Road Again.") There will also be four bonus tracks, which are all re-recordings of old Ringo songs, including his first solo Beatles' song, "Don't Pass Me By" featuring Vandaveer
This album will span multiple genres, similar to Starr's previous albums. The lead single, "Give More Love" is a straightforward pop-rock song about how "together, we can make a change". "We're On The Road Again" is an arena-rock anthem about being on tour with the All-Star Band, featuring Luthaker, McCartney, Joe Walsh of The Eagles, and Edgar Winter. The latest single, "So Wrong For So Long" is a country song, which is what Ringo originally had in mind for the entirety of the album.
