If you haven't seen Baby Driver
yet... Well, then what are you doing? Just kidding... But if you don't already know, it's an Edgar Wright-directed film about the main character, Baby, played by Ansel Egort, who has tinnitus and must listen to music through his ear buds basically 24/7 to drown out the buzzing. He also happens to have impeccable driving skills, which he uses to drive thieves around in fast-paced, high stress scenarios, like robbing banks.
Baby's mother, AKA Sky Ferreira
, played a large part in Baby's backstory. She was a singer, and much of the film featured different variations of the song "Easy" by Commodores, one of them being a cover by Ferreira. Recently, the video for the full recorded version came out, and now we can finally listen to the full 5 minutes of the song, interspersed with beautiful scenes from the film.
I don't know about you, but if I'm half as cool as Ferreira when I have children, I will be one happy camper (the first step to becoming cool is probably deleting the phrase "happy camper" from my vocabulary...). But seriously, an indie singer with that low growl and passion? Ferreira makes for the coolest mom ever.
