Charlotte OC just released her video for "Darkest Hour," which is the first single off of her upcoming debut album, set to be released next year. On the song, Charlotte says, "'Darkest Hour' is about watching someone you love become a prisoner in a toxic relationship and feeling powerless because there is nothing you can do to help. The song is an introduction to what the album is about - love, loss and family."

In the video, we see Charlotte making some massive artistic changes. Zooey Deschanel, girl-next-door front bangs get cut, the only two colors we really see are black and white, and several outfit changes occur. The singer plays with fire, paint, and glitter, and we see that she's truly in her most natural state. The song is the typical Charlotte we love but with even more power and soul. Her metamorphosis into something more fresh is subtle but definitely not going unnoticed.
