Today we're premiering the song "Remnants Of A Night" from Norway-based dream-pop band Chain Wallet. When we first heard the vocals that sounded like a carbon copy of The Smiths and slightly detuned synths right out of Mac Demarco's "Chamber of Reflection," we fell in love instantaneously. There are also some moments reminiscent of Real Estate or DIIV but with a slight 80s twist. Simply put, it's jangle pop perfection.

We asked one of the band members, Christian Line Aanesen, about the track, "'Remnants Of A Night' is probably the darkest track from our upcoming album. It is about insisting on realizing the implicit opportunity in a crisis. This believed opportunity captures us in a dreamlike existential drama." The single is off of their self-titled debut album, out October 7th. You can preorder it HERE.
