Why does every artist have to drop their album on the same day? For us listeners, it's a challenge to catch up with every new release, especially when it's several different releases from all really exciting artists. So to cut through the noise and make sure you have all of your ducks in a row, we're briefly rounding up the most important albums to listen to this week.

    1. Torres - Three Futures

Three Futures is Torres' excellent third album (via 4AD) and is a huge sonic step up from her sophomore record, Sprinter. We recently sat down with the singer to talk all about it, which you can read here.

MUST LISTENS: "Three Futures," "Skim," "Righteous Woman"

    2. Miley Cyrus - Younger Now

Finally, "Wrecking Ball" Miley has made her full transition to country pop, good girl Miley with the release of Younger Now. On it, she sings all about her rekindled flame with Liam Hemsworth, going back to her roots, and features Dolly Parton.

MUST LISTENS: "Thinkin," "I Would Die For You," "Miss You So Much"

    3. Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me

And while we're on the topic of former Disney stars, Demi Lovato also dropped her latest album today, which features her unapologetic anthem "Sorry Not Sorry." Her voice is, once again, the star of the record (those vocal runs on "You Don't Do It For Me Anymore"? Yes, please).

MUST LISTENS: "Sorry Not Sorry," "Tell Me You Love Me," "You Don't Do It For Me Anymore"

    4. Wolf Alice - Visions Of A Life

Wolf Alice is angry. Wolf Alice is happy. Wolf Alice is going through a bunch of emotions, which you can experience for yourself on their new album, Visions Of A Life. We even dove deep into the record, which you can watch here.

MUST LISTENS: "Beautifully Unconventional," "Yuk Foo," "Don't Delete The Kisses"

    5. Echosmith - Inside A Dream EP

The 7 track EP, released via Warner Bros. Records, is the follow up to Echosmith's 2013 debut Talking Dreams. After four years, they are back and better than ever.

MUST LISTENS: "Dear World," "Goodbye," "Future Me"

    6. The World Is A Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid To Die - Always Foreign

Always Foreign is the follow up to the band's 2015 album Harmlessness and it addresses a lot of political issues that the world is currently facing. Hopefully the album comes to a conclusion similar to the band's name.

MUST LISTENS: "Dillon And Her Son," "Marine Tigers"

    7. Kamasi Washington - Harmony of Difference EP

Released through Young Turks, Kamasi Washington is back with his jazzy follow up to 2015's The Epic.

    MUST LISTENS: All of them.
