Pete International Airport is premiering their second music video, for "Starlight," right here at baeblemusic. In this video, the band gives a stark, moody performance of the tune, which is a stark, moody number. For whatever reason, the whole affair reminded me inexorably of Joy Division, although I can't quite put my finger on any specific similarities. I digress, though - it's also an interesting counterpoint to their action-packed video for "21 Days," which we featured here a few weeks ago.
Pete International Airport is the side project of The Dandy Warhols' guitarist Peter Holmstrom. The band's debut album is out now and is available directly through the band's website. If you are fortunate enough to live in or around Portland, Oregon and be over 21 years of age, you can catch the band at their lone fall show, which is October 15th at Dante's in Portland. -peter menniti
