City and Colour hit the stage at New York's Central Park Summerstage on a perfect late summer evening. Supported by openers Lucy Rose and Lissie, the one-man acoustic powerhouse packed in a rapt crowd and added another stellar performance to the cult of Dallas Green.

Lucy Rose a newcomer to the US had the growing crowd's attention as she set a high bar for the rest of the evening. She was perfectly framed by the setting sun over the park. You can catch her on her current North American tour opening for City and Colour and Solo.

Lissie who has been a European touring warrior brought her energetic blues-tinged rock sound to the stage and played some favorites from her album Catching a Tiger and her upcoming new album Back to Forever.

In the ultimate juxtaposition of the evening Dallas Green had the crowd screaming in anticipation of his taking the stage as he played Soul II Soul's "Back To Life" at meltingly loud volume. Halfway through the song Dallas took the stage and strapped on his acoustic Martin and launched into a set that resonated through the entire bottom half of Central Park.
