Sam Gender and Mike Lindsay deserve this. After all, the two co-founders of London based folktronic act Tunng have come a long way from their squeezy, soft core porn composing roots (no joke…the two first hooked up penning sexy and sultry music for skin-a-max type flicks). But fast forward to the present and the experimental duo has ballooned to a full-on six piece band…that’s damn near collective status. Their third album, Good Arrows, marked the first collaborative effort Tunng has embarked on as a group, and it appears to be paying off handsomely. The album will be getting the domestic touch this Fall, courtesy of Thrill Jockey, and the band will be loading their dulcimers, harps, and home made field recordings on to a plane headed for the US.
