So Kanye West made a video talking about Kanye West's collective G.O.O.D. Music album Cruel Summer
. No, Rolling Stone
did not sit down with him to get his thoughts. There are no signs that anyone else is involved in this. Presumably, he sat down in a dark room, set up a tripod, hit record, and just started talking. Although this may be Kanye at his quietest, he still says some pretty ridiculous things. Such as Kanye claiming he made songs based on the album's artwork
. You know, that weird, silver, breast-holding sculpture. Rap songs were made according to that. Kanye then describes Cruel Summer
as "music you can listen to on your way to work so that you can deal with you boss. Music that you listen to cause you're the boss so that you can deal with your employees!" Just watch it all the way through -- Kanye even invents a new word. This guy is an American treasure.
is out now and it ain't too shabby
