Chaz Bundick, or Toro Y Moi has as you may know him, released the video for "Half Dome," off his latest album What For?. The video may or not be exactly what you'd expect from the song- actually, no- it's exactly what you should expect. It's entirely made up of footage of Half Dome Mountain in Yosemite National Park. Throughout "Half Dome," Bundick takes you through a trippy time lapse of the park's wonders. These images are bordered by ever-changing colors and patterns that, paired with the lapsing natural scenery, sure makes me feel like I should be hiking with a bunch of buddies taking tabs of LSD while gazing in wide-eyed awe at my surroundings. With these images and Bundick's chill wave sound, the work of Toro Y Moi reminds listeners to hold onto the simple things. With the lyrics "Friday night we go watch music, Saturday we do half dome," and clips of campfires and skinny-dips, he masters putting me at ease with just enough of a spark to keep me listening.
