For today's Song of the Day, we're feeling a bit sunny. NYC darling Jaymay's "Singin' Of The Birds" legitimately sounds like she's singing with the birds with her sweet voice and picked strings. The singer-songwriter style she writes in makes us nostalgic for early Sara Bareilles. The track is off of her recently-released album To Tell the Truth, which broke her near decade-long silence.

If you get a chance to listen to the Norah Jones-tinged album, it'll sound pretty light and pure, but it actually holds a much deeper meaning, accompanied by individual pieces of art created by Jaymay. Altogether with the album and visuals, it explores the years of health issues and the death of Jaymay's younger sister, Cassie. A portion of the proceeds from the LP are going to The Center for Discovery where Cassie went to school.
