Fans of Ms. Gaga
rejoice. For the first time since 2013, we'll be getting new music from the trailblazing singer sans a wrinkly old jazz crooner (all respect due to the legend Tony Bennett, but we'll be happy to have Gaga back in this century). The album, Joanne,
is set for release October 21st, and will include the high-energy single "Perfect Illusion," which Gaga released last Friday. A short video on Gaga's website teases the possibility of an upcoming music video for "Perfect Illusion," complete with strobe lights and signature Gaga dance moves.
Despite the lull in new music, Gaga hasn't been out of the public eye in between albums. She made waves for her performance in the fifth season of American Horror Story last year, winning a Golden Globe for Best Actress - Miniseries or Television Film in January. The next month, she performed at the Grammys in a stunning tribute to David Bowie. Gaga clearly knows how to stay relevant, whether it's through her music or her many other ventures. We can only assume that Joanne will be a hit - as we know, Gaga has incredibly passionate fans who will undoubtedly eat up everything she puts out.
Listen to "Perfect Illusion" on Spotify above and get ready for your early Halloween present on the 21st.
