We recently spoke with BRAEVES
for our Gear Talk Tuesday feature
about their favorite pieces of gear. Now, we're ecstatic to premiere the video for their well-received single, "Bitter Sea." They decided to pair the fluttery feel-good song with tour footage where we see the band rehearsing, playing live shows, and driving out on the road. The aesthetic is pretty perfect considering they started out in New York City before making the ambitious move to Los Angeles, where they now go under the description of bi-coastal quartet.
We asked Derek Tramont about the video, "It is more or less a visual collage of our move from New York to LA. From the motel rooms and scenic drives to trying to wrap our heads around the fact that this is actually happening, It was definitely a cathartic and memorable experience to travel across the country together documenting as much as we can without crashing into stuff."
"We were lucky enough to work with a great team on this, Kerri Farrell and Karli Cantor. An amazing producer and editor who helped us turn some old footage into something special by implementing new shots and an incredibly unique editing style that works so perfectly for this song. All in all we wanted to make something that represented us and who we are as a group, on stage and off - for better or worse I think we accomplished that."
