Synth-pop stalwarts Erasure
are prepped to release their latest album, The Violent Flame, on September 23rd, and, to pave the way, have decided to release a music video for the single "Elevation." It's like taking a time machine back to the San Francisco club-scene circa-2000 (—)lazers! gangly, goofy ravers in skeleton costumes! awkward, inhibited displays of affection! (—)from the comfort of your easy chair, and isn't that just what we were all asking for?
Well, maybe not, but for those of you who like your dance-party or rave soundtrack to have a driving beat, glitzy production and insistently optimistic lyrics you can party all night to: Erasure's got you covered. In which case, you'll be thrilled to hear that Erasure's following up the record's release with a tour taking them from Orlando, FL to NYC and many stops in between over the next three months. If you can't make it and desperate enough, they'll be streaming the September 27th concert live from the House of Blues in Boston to your laptop, making it easier than ever to rave in your pajamas (as if that would have stopped you before)!
Get your party on right here and now, don't let me stop you! In fact, let me help! The video's just below!
