has just dropped his second song of the summer, "Find You." Nick began teasing the song on Twitter three days ago with clips from the music video, which show him in a desert looking hot (as in heart eyes emoji, not sweaty) as ever.
"Find You" is Nick's second attempt at a chart topper this summer, and this time he might achieve it. "Remember I Told You," a song featuring Mike Posner
in late May, and it didn't even break the Top 100. "Find You" has the ~world~ vibe that has been popular lately, like with "Work" or "Despacito," so there's a very high chance this one will catch on. The basis of the song is an electronic beat under an acoustic guitar courtesy of Jack & Coke, the Swedish production duo behind the beat.
This song doesn't highlight Nick's range and skilled falsetto the previous hits of his, like "Chains" or "Jealous." Instead, the youngest (former) JoBro
chose to keep it more about the music, letting the beat shine rather than his voice. It's a bit disappointing to not hear that borderline whiny upper register we have come to know and love way back in mid-2000s, but this more subtle song is not at all unwelcome.
As of right now, Nick hasn't announced any plans for an album as he just released Last Year Was Complicated
a little over a year ago, in June of 2016. Fingers crossed this new song produces the results Nick is aiming for so that we can get a new album to obsess over.
