Grammy winner, and New Zealand native, Kimbra
has released the original artwork she commissioned for her sophomore LP The Golden Echo
, out now
via Warner Bros Records Inc.. Each track corresponds with an original piece, each piece was done by a different artist, and each artist (with minor exceptions) seems to find Kimbra's music sort of creepy. From a scary sad clown girl trying not to pee her pants, to a severed hand upon which is perched a living wind-up cardinal; each piece flirts with the grotesque—that is, if it doesn't make sweet, sweet love to it.
The works premiered at a recent intimate event in LA, before making their online debut via Idolator
