will soon release Inni
, a mysterious live double album and film. Somehow loosely tied to promotion for it comes this strange visual blip. Dramatic camera angles, attributed to Sarah Hopper's artful direction, characterize this short film set to fluid, droning sounds. For the first few minutes, we watch a seamstress crew cut fabric and remove buttons very suspiciously. Coupled with lighting straight from a police interrogation room and the sharp pang of scissors moving, industrial rustling, and the noise of movement through an underground tunnel, the dominant feeling is unnerving and strangely liberating. It is unclear if the music here is truly played by Sigur Ros but knowing the reclusive Icelandics, anonymity is probably the message after all.
Stay tuned for more.
