Other than a bit near the end of the set where it sounded like David Letterman was having some sort of Paul Banks induced dementia and couldn't stop muttering "I'm going to be in the band" like a deranged groupie, iconic NY post-punkers Interpol
had a spectacular set on The Late Show With David Letterman
last night. Performing "All the Rage Back Home" from their newest LP, El Pintor
(which I suddenly just realized was an anagram for Interpol), the band's guitars were jagged but tight and Paul Banks' mastery of his vocals is as spot on as ever.
