LUCIANBLOMKAMP, an electronic artist in Melbourne, Australia, released a new single earlier today on Soundcloud titled "Nothing"; the single features singer Rromarin. Aside from working on a few remixes, and most notably producing for 6LACK on his most recent single "That Far," LUCIANBLOMKAMP hasn't released much since he released his second album, Bad Faith, last year. With today's release of a new single came an announcement that the first part of LUCIANBLOMKAMP's three-part upcoming album, Sick of What I Don't Understand, will be released on October 13.

"Nothing" definitely showcases LUCIANBLOMKAMP's skill as a producer and songwriter. The overall sound is reminiscent of Flume's music (especially because of Rromarin's vocal quality) but makes use of slightly rougher sounds that provide a rawness that Flume doesn't typically have. The bass line throughout the song provides a sense of drama and really fills out the sound by complementing the harsher synths. Rromarin's voice is a good fit for the song, too; the voice quality she uses on "Nothing" is a popular voice type right now, and makes the most sense in a dramatic electronic production like this. If this single is any indication of what Sick of What I Don't Understand will sound like when it comes out in October, the album is definitely something to look forward to.
