Stephen Colbert Takes Aim At Pitchfork's Conspiracy Theory

Two nights ago, Stephen Colbert was forced to pull-off an elaborate dance performance to sub-in for Daft Punk who were stiff-armed out of the time-slot due to incestuous network dispute. Viacom prevented the scheduled performance as the French duo are reportedly a surprise guest of sister network MTV's VMAs next month (yes, they still talk about music once a year).

Yesterday, Pitchfork grabbed the story by its Loose Change purse and got all conspiracy theory up on Colbert's tap dancing ass, accusing the fiasco of being a joint marketing scheme to promote MTV and the VMAs. Stephen, of course, addressed the accusation with his sarcastic brilliance.

Pitchfork has since responded with an "LOLZ, that's our BFF Stephen, such a kidder" write-up.
