It was about two years ago that the cerebral Minneapolis-based rapper Astronautalis, had announced via several slightly perplexing Instagram photos, that he and the indie folk icon and lead singer of Bon Iver, Justin Vernon, would be working together to form a new album. Since then, the pot has been slowly brewing with rumors and excitement of what the project could possibly produce — ranging anywhere from slow acoustic auto-tuned rap songs to whiskey-fueled electronica.

Well, now that the summer has met its half way mark, the duo, who've dubbed the project Jason Feathers, have finally given us a taste — in the form of a minute long teaser trailer — of what to expect when the full eight tracks are released as an album. And while judging from the trailer, the project, which also is rumored to feature S. Carey of Bon Iver and Ryan Olson from Gayngs, is certainly going to be nothing like any of us could have expected, we are guaranteed at least one thing — it's gonna be great.
