We've seen a number of Baeble alums crop up on NBC's, American Idol-like competition, The Voice. Most notably this past season's runner up Juliet Simms, who stopped by Baeble HQ to do an acoustic versions of Automatic Letter songs with her brother. Last week we noticed a curious tweet from Lelia Broussard, announcing she recently tried out for the upcoming season of course we'll be rooting for her. But today we're introducing Jillette Johnson, an NYC songwriter who apparently had the shot to compete, but chose to snub Christina, Cee Lo, Adam, and Blake to keep herself on the creative path she originally set out on. That means focusing on her debut EP Whiskey & Frosting (apparently two of her favorite things in the world); appropriate because she admits she doesn't "write happy songs without some melancholy feelings in there". It's all part of a determined effort to paint the entire emotional picture of a song.

Have a listen to "Pauvre Coeur"; a song that certainly captures both sides of that emotional coin.

We also have a preview of the video for the song, which we'll be premiering later this week.
