If you're an already established band, you can get pretty damn creative in marketing your upcoming work. The latest to join the mysterious marketing craze seem to be Arcade Fire
, who, according to CoS
, are labeling city streets throughout the world with their latest album's name, Reflektor
, via a cryptic symbol. Although we cannot confirm that this is the album's title, we do know that it's due out October 29th.
There is now a Reflektor Instagram Account
containing pictures of the markings, as well as a video which was, according to the CoS report, played prior to sets at this weekend's Lollapalooza in Chicago.
We can't help but see a connection to the Toynbee Tiles
, but we're hoping - and pretty confident - that this isn't all the work of an old man in Philadelphia.
