Last month, multi-instrumentalist/producer filous
released his electro-dance track "Knots" featuring vocalist Klei. The song already features the 20-year old Viennese student's trademark guitars, but today we're premiering a live video where he completely strips it back to nothing but an acoustic guitar (and some exotic xylophone-type instrument, played by Klei). filous told Baeble, "Because 'knots' is such a strong song in itself, it felt natural to have a stripped down version that feels as raw as the lyrics. It was also just fun to play with the different aspects of the song."
The video was filmed in Vienna in a 1986 Mazda 323 in an abandoned parking lot and I have to say, this is one of the most calming things I've watched in a while. There's something about the two nonchalantly performing in the backseat of a car that makes it feel relaxed, like they spontaneously decided to film it in the moment. And the small space makes for some pleasantly intimate audio, which highlights the raw lyrics. The track will be featured on filous' forthcoming For Love
EP, to be released on October 6th via Ultra Music, which you can preorder here
