Experimental indie punk band Deerhoof has released their newest album, Mountain Moves, two weeks ahead of its scheduled September 8 release date. The album is up on Bandcamp until September 7, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Emergent Fund, a group that was established in November 2016 after the election to benefit various movements in marginalized communities, forming a partnership between Solidaire Network, Women Donors Network, and Threshold Foundation.

The three singles that have already been released in promotion of the album, "Come Down Here & Say That," "Your Dystopic Creation Doesn't Fear You," and "I Will Spite Survive," featuring Lætitia Sadier, Awkwafina, and Jenn Wasner respectively, are streamable on Bandcamp right now, and in order to listen to the rest of the album you'll have to buy it. The good news, though, is that the album is pay-what-you-want, and the even better news of course is that all of the money is going to a good cause. Each of the singles features Deerhoof's signature blend of genres, crossing punk rock, noise, and the catchy melodies of pop with a spirit of experimentalism. If you've been pulled in by the infectiously catchy and adventurous sound of these singles like I have, I'd definitely suggest buying the album from Bandcamp. After all, you'll know your money will be providing some help to people who need it.
