I don't know about the rest of you, but I was getting fairly serious FOMO this weekend while watching plenty of my LA friends and acquaintances posting about FYF Fest on social media. One of the most enviable sets was undoubtedly Solange's. The singer, decked out in head-to-toe scarlet, brought Dev Hynes - also known as Blood Orange - out on the stage with her to perform "Losing You" and "Bad Girls", off Solange's 2012 EP True, as well as a cover of Nina Simone's "To Be Young, Gifted And Black". The two are entirely in sync, their onstage chemistry palpable. If I'm envious, so be it; to be in the audience at this performance is certainly an experience worth my envy. Watch the video of a rehearsal of "To Be Young, Gifted And Black" below!
Be sure to catch our session with Solange!
