Boy Bands That Went Solo: 5 Decent Songs We Got Out Of It

There are some boy bands that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. The Backstreet Boys (I WANT IT THAAAT WAY), 'N Sync (IT'S GONNA BE MAAAY), and the more recent One Direction (YOU DON'T KNOW YOU'RE FREAKING BEAUTIFUL). We've had some great times with them, but they never last forever. When they break up or *take a break*, most of them disappear into nothingness and stop making music, but sometimes there are some that break through and make a name for their solo selves. Here are some of the best songs we got out of boys that were once in a boy band.

    1. "Pillowtalk" by Zayn Malik

I was never a fan of One Direction to begin with, but Zayn managed to make a pretty huge solo debut with his first single "Pillowtalk." It didn't sound too terrible -- very sensual.

    2. "Closer" by Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas (of The Jonas Brothers) recently released his album Last Year Was Complicated, and it was so FREAKING GOOD! His songs "Bacon" and "Closer" will get you dancing ASAP. Also sensual.

    3. "Sexyback" by Justin Timberlake

Well this is just a classic. Justin Timberlake had one of the most successful solo careers ever and we still love him to this day (even though we don't understand that cheesy "Can't Stop The Feeling" song). Also--Sexyback--totally sensual.

    4. "Give It Up" Ft. G-Eazy by Nathan Sykes

Sykes is very fresh on the solo project game, which he started after his moment with The Wanted. He released his single and video, "Give It Up" which is also so sensual. Especially the video. Not safe for work, kids!

    5. "Just In Love" by Joe Jonas

Well, Joe Jonas is in DNCE now, but for a brief time before that he released this sensual track, "Just In Love," which definitely has a Justin Timberlake vibe.

Side Note: Every ex former-boy band member makes super sensual, smooth music. Why is this? Do they feel the need to prove their masculinity after all of those years? Do they feel the need to carry on the boy band sound for life? We need answers!
