I didn't have much of a typical "youth." Where I grew up in West Virginia, I didn't have anyone my age around for miles in either direction, and I didn't get my driver's license til I was 21. And so I didn't do the whole party as a kid thing, and when I got to college, I was too busy with school and work to party much then either. But when I hear "Good Times Go So Fast" from L.A soul pop-rocker Steven Roth
, I get a little nostalgic for the wasted opportunities of my youth.
With a little bit of Allen Stone and a little bit of Jack Johnson, Steven Roth's soaring and warm voice whisks me back to the few bonfires I was able to attend...and evenings with good friends and good drinks. With his guitar and the elegant melodies he produces around it, Roth is able to twist and warp his voice through a tale of getting older and good times and how they're all over a little too quickly and we couldn't be happier to be premiering the track's lyric video.
