Well, here it is. The news that makes the kids lose their freaking minds. As well they should, if they love seventeen minute songs. Sufjan Stevens once promised a 50 record project and gave up after one really, really good one, which is a great way to keep us hungry! Now the avant pop artist is back with a new EP and it echoes all the impeccable qualities that put him on the map; thematic weaves, expressive and expansive instrumentations, and Steven's charmingly unique voice.

The All Delighted People EP centers around two versions of the song of the same name, and is an "homage to the Apocalypse, existential ennui, and Paul Simon's 'Sounds of Silence", according to the website. Classic Suf'!

Download the whole thing from Bandcamp here, for the incredibly reasonably price of $5 for the whole thing (or a buck for individual tracks). There is supposedly a physical release slated for December from Asthmatic Kitty... but why wait? -joe puglisi
