If you're into Best Coast or Beach House (notice that beautiful, oceanic theme?) then we have a new group for you, and they go by the name of Rich Girls. The NYC-based band can pass for a lot of genres, so let's call them surf rock/dark garage/art rockers. I think that will give you a good idea of what their sound is like.

We're proud to premiere their new song, "Open Water," off of their forthcoming EP, Love Is The Dealer. It's set to drop this September and you can preorder it on BandCamp HERE. The band will also be hitting the road for an East Coast tour in mid-September.

"It's a song about love beyond repair. And wanting to be purified somehow from the mistakes you make," says Rich Girls frontwoman, Luisa Black. "That thing that sounds like keyboard swells at the top of the song and on the choruses is just a ton of reverb on a trilled guitar." The washed out guitars are one of our favorite parts of this track. Sparkling layers on top of even more sparkling layers create a lush, ethereal universe that we want to live in forever.
