People really need to stop freaking out about the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. Where is the real news? Oh yeah, in Newport! The Newport Folk Festival was fun, according to our sources. And in other news, Avey Tare (aka Dave Portner) of Animal Collective is releasing a solo album about crocodiles?

A Youtube channel boasting full tracks from the Tron score turned out to be fake.

Guys, it's JUST A MOVIE SCORE. We all need to take a chill pill and remember that Daft Punk is just two guys scoring a movie about computer games. Please stop being in the headlines of major music publications every day. [via The Daily Swarm]

The Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island.

Our contributor Selden Paterson caught the old timey (and new timey) folk fun at Newport, and we'll have pics and words later today and tomorrow.

Avey Tare will release a solo album called Down There, via AnCo label Paw Tracks on 10/26.

It will feature crocodiles as the main inspiration, so get your mind out of the gutter (unless there are crocodiles there in your mind-gutters). It will not explain ODDSAC. We should probably just give up on understanding what they were thinking with that one.
