Last summer, synth-pop band Great Good Fine OK
took the stage at one of Baeble's Bands + Brews sessions. The band, often abbreviated to GGFO, started off as a duo consisting of vocalist Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman on the keyboards, mallets, and of course, the keytar. The band now also includes Carey Clayton on guitar and Danny Wolf on drums. In this high-energy Bands + Brews session, Jon shows off his signature falsetto, accompanied by the rest of the band playing party-ready, futuristic synth pop sounds that mixes lush production with some sonic throwbacks to 80s and 90s pop. The highlight of the session, I think, is that epic keytar solo around the 18:30 mark.
With a fun array of shiny and colorful costuming, a flashy light set up, and irresistibly danceable songs, this Bands + Brews video is definitely one you'll want to re-watch. Since their Bands + Brews performance last year, the band has put out a number of singles, as well as a 7-song EP, III
. They've also continued to grow their fan base with 3 sold out headline tours and performances at Comedy Central's Clusterfest and Bonnaroo.
Feeling a sudden urge to go to a Bands + Brews session yourself after watching this video? You're in luck - there's a free Bands + Brews show happening tonight in Industry City, Brooklyn! Electronic dance-pop band A R I Z O N A
