Do you have $3,800 burning a hole in your pocket? Royal Caribbean needs you now tonight. Make your way down to Orlando, Florida to catch a ride on their 7-day Total Eclipse
cruise, setting sail August 20. One day after starting its journey, the ship will host an eclipse-viewing party featuring the Joe Jonas-led band DNCE
and "a surprise guest."
Spoiler alert: that surprise guest is none other than 80s legend Bonnie Tyler
, whose song "Total Eclipse of the Heart" has become a karaoke classic and the stuff of cheesy music video legend.
According to Tyler's interview with Time
, she will sing the ballad for the the entirety of the 2 minute and 40 second astronomical event, cutting the original song down by one minute and 50 seconds. Just keep in mind that $3,800 is a small price to pay for what arguably could be the happiest 2 minutes and 40 seconds of your life.
Will there be doves? Will there be ninjas? Will there be prep school boys whose shirts blow open while they're trying to study? Will Joe Jonas don a football uniform and dance-fight with his band? Will you get distracted and accidentally stare into the blotted-out sun without protective eyewear, making a crooning Bonnie Tyler in a white gown the last thing you ever see?
After the performance, the cruise will make port in St. Maarten and the Bahamas before it turns around (bright eyes) and heads back to Orlando.
