In case you've somehow forgotten that 2017 is Lorde's year, the acclaimed pop songstress is here to remind you. Collaborating with VEVO, Lorde debuted not one, not two - but six brand new videos, each one a reimagined version of Melodrama's best tracks. The videos were filmed at the legendary Electric Lady Studios, where much of her sophomore album was recorded with producer Jack Antonoff.

This video series shows a completely new side of Lorde. She admits she's never done anything like this before, but you wouldn't be able to tell from the way she performs the stripped back versions of these songs. The intimate, behind the scenes look at her writing process proves just how vibrant and surreal her artistry is. As Lorde describes, Melodrama has its roots in acoustics and live musicianship, which were then amplified into something otherworldly. These beautifully transformed arrangements gives us all another reason to be awe-struck by her talent.

Lorde takes the album's most danceable songs like "Supercut," "Sober" and "Homemade Dynamite," and turns them into haunting, gothic anthems. "Writer In the Dark" becomes even more chilling than the original, demonstrating the strength and pure emotion in Lorde's vocals. There's a tenderness in this acoustic version of "The Louvre" that will break your heart, and a joyous unity in the outdoor performance of "Hard Feelings / Loveless" that will pick up all the pieces.

For those of you who don't consider yourself Lorde fans, I guarantee these videos will change your mind.
