A word of advice: if you're looking for a typical, 9-5 internship where you get coffee for your higher-ups and complete the same routine tasks every day, stop reading now. If, however, you're looking for a unique and enjoyable work environment and experience in which you can never know exactly what to expect (and you get to listen to new and current music all day, every day), continue reading.
Baeblemusic is looking for several interns to join the staff for the fall season, specifically to aid in the editorial and marketing departments. The music industry is constantly changing and continuously expanding, creating an exciting atmosphere in which to participate. If you're particularly interested in indie rock music, emerging new artists and have a desire to expand your knowledge of new media, Baeblemusic could be the perfect place for you. Located in Greenwich Village, the internships provide enormous opportunities to expand your knowledge about the music industry and how a small company functions through daily interactions, tasks and hands-on experience that you simply cannot get anywhere else.
Each intern will be expected to work 15-20 hours per week. Although unpaid, interns have the opportunity to receive college credit. Marketing interns will focus on maintaining and developing Baeble's community presence through various social media sites and other marketing strategies. Editorial interns will contribute to album reviews, interviews, blog posts and more, even covering concerts in the area. Both internships provide opportunities to have exclusive experiences, whether it be attending concerts or meeting today's top indie and pop artists.
We encourage you to visit and explore our website (baeblemusic.com) to gather more information and get a feel for our company. If you're passionate about music, want to work in a constantly growing field, have the desire to gain experience in new media, and, most importantly, have fun, then this internship could be everything you're searching for. If you think so, we encourage you to apply with a cover letter and resume. If you're looking to work a boring 9-5 and make coffee runs every day though, that's cool too.
To apply: Email your information to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please specify in the subject whether you're applying for Marketing or Editorial.
