We're throwing it back to our exclusive interview with Taking Back Sunday
because apparently the emo revival is a real thing! Brand New
just announced a new tour
with pop punkers The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball, Asbury Park, NJ's House of Independents is throwing an emo night
tomorrow night at The Jersey Shore, and My Chemical Romance is celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Black Parade.
Taking Back Sunday singer Adam Lazarra responded to a different emo night formerly called "Taking Back Tuesday" which took place in Los Angeles saying
"I don't want to become a parody of something I take real seriously." But I don't think they're becoming a parody. Honestly, Taking Back Sunday, along with all of the other "emo" or "punk" bands, played a huge part in a lot of people's childhoods, so it'd be fair to say their music makes us feel a little nostalgic. That's fair, right?
When we watch this Baeble session, our hearts are so warm. The chemistry between long-time friends Lazarra and singer/guitarist John Nolan is undeniable. We sat down with the band when the original line-up was back and they were touring around the country on the Tell All Your Friends
10th Anniversary tour, a highlight of their career. Stick around until the end of the interview, because their outro is hilarious.
