Our friends at Cutty Sark
recently invited us to capture an evening of ecstatic happenings at Brooklyn Bowl as part of the inaugural Cutty Sark Presents Series. There was booze, there was bowling, and most importantly, there were bands. Incredible bands, actually, each bringing their own unique offering of electric energy to the stage.
, a band hailing from our very own Brooklyn, New York, has been perfecting its heady, dreamy sound for several years now. Their sound is atmospheric and fuzzy, breathtaking and dizzying in its use of layered, swirling synths and lead vocalist Josh Kolenik's soothing voice snaking its way through the noise. Though of course each song varies, there is a certain delicacy about everything Small Black does, an intoxicating sweetness that the music emits without losing its catchiness, its ability to make you want to dance. And thats just what our latest concert feature does. So get your feet amovin to the jubilant sounds of Small Black.
