Queens Of The Stone Age have announced via their official twitter account that they will no longer be performing at Outside Lands music festival on August 12th as originally scheduled "due to injury". Whether or not the injury has any serious implications or is something as simple as Josh needing vocal rest has not been elaborated upon. However the band have stated they "look forward to returning to the Bay Area at a later date", giving us at least some sense of clarity as to whether this injury will have a serious impact on the band's ability to continue performing.

The devious, sneaky part of me is wondering if they are intentionally keeping the injury ambiguous as a marketing technique to make people ask questions and maintain interest in the wake of a setback. The caring, relatively normal side of me doesn't care and is wishing the band members (or related person) a safe and healthy recovery.
