I know some of you reading have probably been out of high school for way longer than I have, so your memories of it may not be all that fresh and clear anymore. For others, like alt R&B singer Khalid, it's only been a little over a year since we said goodbye to the halls of our respective high schools. My memories of high school are slightly blurry because of my entirely intentional effort to block out those four years of annoying drama and having to ask just to go to the bathroom (like, what the hell is that?), but it seems that Khalid has managed to recall his times in a much more desirable way.

In his new video for "Young, Dumb, and Broke," the second track on his debut album American Teen, Khalid shows us that when you zero in on the carefree and enjoyable moments of being in school, you have a lot more to smile about than you may have thought. When you're young, broke, and going to school in a not so exciting town–emphasis on broke–it's easy to get really bored, really quickly. Solution? Have a bunch of ethereally beautiful friends to help you pass the time. Seriously, everyone Khalid got to be a part of this project is gorgeous. I mean, he even got Normani Kordei of Fifth Harmony to be the queen to his prom king. Name a better duo, I'll wait. She's one of the many celebrity appearances in this video, including Kel Mitchell and Wayne Brady. I definitely can't truthfully say I miss high school after seeing this, but it does make me wish I had looked at the bright side a little more often.
