English alternative rock band, The 1975 have released their newest video for the single "Somebody Else", a track off of their latest album I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It.

The video begins way before the music starts, almost like a video before the music video itself. Healy enters a room that seems like an old TV set. There is another person on the set with Healy but they never move. During the beginning of the video Healy is studying himself in a mirror and the only audible noise is coming from a laugh track.

When the music begins, the shot changes from black and white to color. The video follows Healy during an emotional day where he is struggling to come to terms with the fact that he is alone. Directed by Tim Mattia, the video is based off a story that Matt Healy, the bands frontman, wrote himself.

According to a press release, the video "follows Healy through the murky world of a Lynchian night-time London; struggling with self-obsession in the face of heartbreak". The nearly 9-minute video ends with Healy, well...having sex with himself.

The 1975 are currently on a world tour traveling through Europe, Australia, and Asia. Fortunately for us, they also have some tour dates set in the US including July 28th at Lollapalooza.
