Tennessee native Lauren Pritchard, better known as LOLO, is dropping her debut album, In Loving Memory of when I Gave a Shit this fall--and judging from the songs shes already released, it's going to be a stunner.
In her singles, "Shine" and "Not Gonna Let You Walk Away" LOLOs voice is overflowing with soul and a vintage air of nostalgia as LOLO smokes in a fur coat and drives through monochrome suburban scenery with her hair caught in the wind.
Despite it being her first full-length album as LOLO, shes not new a new artist to the scene. LOLO released another album in 2010, Wasted in Jackson, as Lauren Pritchard, and has collaborated with Panic! At the Disco, supported the band on tour and was featured as the female vocals on their 2013 hit Miss Jackson. As an impressive multi-tasker, LOLO has also appeared in the original Broadway production Spring Awakening as Ilse, and penned the score for the off-Broadway show Songbird.
"In the past, I tried to be a perfect Southern girl, tried to make my family proud but I realized what worked best and made them proudest was just doing me, no matter how much I fucked up along the way, she wrote, detailing the inspiration for the albums flawless title.
In Loving Memory of when I Gave a Shit doesnt drop until September 9th, but you can pre-order it on iTunes and Amazon now.
