From her lyrics to her familial ties to a major terrorist organization, M.I.A.'s life is immersed in controversy. Recently, the combative legend resurfaced as the director of her bio-documentary, Steve Loveridge, prematurely posted the film's trailer to his blog after its production was halted due to funding issues. Loverage said, "This was a teaser from 2012 to show Interscope what the film would feel like. Reblog the shit out of this and maybe they'll wake up..."

Loverage then proceeded yesterday by posting a screen grab of his email conversation with someone at Roc Nation about the video to which he responded "I really couldn't give a flying fuck. Count me out. Would rather die than work on this... nothing personal :)"

The trailer was removed from YouTube shortly after it was posted, but not before blogger D. Dot Omen could get a hold of it. It's a pretty lengthy preview featuring commentary from Kanye West, Spike Jonze, and more. We're pretty sure there's also a Julian Assange cameo near the end.

According to M.I.A.'s Twitter, she's looking to use Kickstarter to fund the project. But until then, this is all we've got.
