    Around the time Modest Mouse formed in 1993, Issac Brock recorded a song called "Dead End Job at the Dead Letter Office" (that name, wow). The track has surfaced as part of an amazing sounding compilation entitled From Nowhere Near You Vol. II, said to feature a variety of unreleased and rare tracks from the likes of the Strokes, Elliott Smith, Wilco, and even Greg Oden from the Portland Trailblazers for some strange reason? Hear the Brock track below and get pumped for this disc of treasures.

    Prefix reports: "All profits from Nowhere Near You will go to help Outside In, an Oregon non-profit organization that provides aid and counseling to homeless youth. You can pre-order the 3 CD compilation, out July 19, here.
