. It was a nice, well-told and honest moment, and the first of its kind by an artist of Ocean's stature. It took a boatload of courage and integrity. We applaud him.
Now onto the tunes -- as if the young R&B hero needs any more bolstering -- between his contributions to Jay-Z, Kanye, and Beyonce, as well as his big brother roll with the Odd Future kids, Ocean isn't hurting for reasons to call his life a good one. This track off his forthcoming LP Channel Orange
, "The Sweet Life," is another tangential tune, seductive in every way except for being a literal song about seduction. Classic Ocean, succinct and emotionally charged. A great jumping point for a couple of lazy days off.
