Yesterday, Australian duo Atlas Genius
released the video for "Balladino", a single off of their latest album, Inanimate Objects
. Produced by Portland's Justy Burgos, the visuals couldn't be more appropriate for the thematic feel of the song, which was conceptualized in honor of the brothers and bandmates grandparents who fought in WWII.
As Keith Jeffery sings, "The ETA is drawing close, we're losing height but holding on," we're reminded both lyrically and visually that even when everything seems to be going wrong, there's always a reason to be hopeful, while the WWII inspired claymation visuals beautifully convey how insignificant trying moments can be in the grand scheme of things.
