When we told you two weeks ago about the Lou Reed and Metallica collaboration
supposedly in the works, I'll be honest, we had our doubts. When we heard the update that the album was made up of songs that Reed wrote for the play Lulu
, an adaptation of stories from the German author Frank Wedekind currently running in Berlin, we were even more skeptical.
However, all of our doubts have been assuaged by the latest word from the questionable collaborators. Lou Reed has reportedly said to NY mag in an exclusive interview with Vulture that "It's maybe the best thing done by anyone, ever. It could create another planetary system. I'm not joking, and I'm not being egotistical."
Well, that seems to have said it all! Check out the full interview here
and ease your own doubts.
