If a firsthand serenade is attending a show (which you can still do!), and secondhand is listening to a record, than here is your third-hand serenade... a mixtape from John Velesy, stocked with his heavy rotation tracks. Just don't ask us for a fourth-hand serenade, or we may need Christopher Nolan to direct it.

    1. "Eyes On You" - Automatic Loveletter

Juliet has an amazing voice and is an exceptional talent. I've toured with her in the past and did some of the writing on her brand new album. Definitely one of my favs.

    2. "Talking To The Moon" - Bruno Mars

Everyone already knows this guy because of the tracks he's on with B.o.B. and Travie McCoy but I definitely think he's gonna blow up in his own right. And this track is proof of his talent.

    3. "Immigraniada (We Comin' Rougher)" - Gogol Bordello

I can't even explain why I like this guy so much. But I listen to his music and suddenly my mood instantly goes to happy/party-time.

    4. "The Mess I Made" - Parachute

They had some success with their last album and I can't wait to hear what they come out with next. Not only an amazing band with an amazing live show, but also the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

    5. "Changed By You" Between The Trees

One of the most simple but beautiful piano ballads I've come across in a long time. Would love to see what they're like live.

    6. "Superhuman Touch" Athlete

This is one of those bands that hasn't blown up in the states yet, but I think they are just on the verge of exploding. Could definitely see them getting a ton of tv/film placements

    7. "Something I Said" Safetysuit

We toured with this band last year and they are absolutely ridiculous live. Their last album was fantastic front to back. Can't wait for their next release.

    8. "Save Your Scissors" City & Colour

He's fairly big up in Canada but here in the states, a lot of people don't know him yet. I highly recommend him though if you like acoustic based songs. He's one of the best.
