Musical geniuses Nas
and Erykah Badu
collaborated on a new song, "This Bitter Land," which will be a part of The Land
soundtrack. The Land
is an upcoming film that Nas is an executive producer of, alongside Machine Gun Kelly.
The song is deeply emotional and moving. Badu stretches her voice high and low hitting every note in between while Nas comes in hard with some serious rhyming about his fight for success and the struggles he faced while doing so. The song is anthemic, packed with emotion, and absolutely heart-wrenching.
Both The Land
and its soundtrack come out on July 29th. It is about a group of Cleveland teens who are a part of the city's underground hip-hop scene. Like most movies go, the teens find themselves in times of trouble -- caught in the middle of an intense drug deal that could seriously screw up their futures.
Nas and Badu are only two of the major names that lend their voices to the soundtrack. Pusha T, Jeremih, Kanye West, and French Montana are just a few other artists you will hear on the album for the indie film. The soundtrack is currently available for pre-order HERE
