    Texas neo-punk act The Mars Volta have just wrapped up their sixth studio album. Thanks to some resourceful and thoughtful European fans, we've got a taste of what that might entail. Spoilers ahead!

    The commentary from lead singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala, on his Youtube channel is just perfect:

    Sorry no Spanish on this record, no Zeppelinesque voyages, no Santana like flourishes... No congas, no Hammond organ stabs, no 30 minute songs, no drums that sounds like mosquitoes buzzing in your ear. Just future punk. That's the only way to describe it.
