Now Playing: GIVERS Get Manic In Austin

We first caught up with the hyper-explosive, Louisianan indie-pop band GIVERS way back in 2011, when they were bursting on the scene with their Glassnote-endorsed debut album, In Light. Like a lot of people, we were drawn to the band's spirited collision of indie-rock, pop, and more native elements (Cajon, Afro-Caribbean, Dixieland, etc). Songs like "Up Up Up" and "Saw You First" are completely manic, free-swinging, and thrilling...a total rush of ear-candy.

Last summer we ran into the band's set at Eaux Claires and were a little shocked by the band's performance. This extremely exciting, slightly manic band was somehow playing new music that was...even more adventurous! Their songs behave like rascals; punchy, unpredictable, maybe even a little chaotic. And on their new album New Kingdom, things come coated in a new synthy atmosphere that almost makes things a little New Age-y. So we were more than a little excited to have the band at The Baeble Bounce House in Austin last Spring. We've been waiting patiently ever since to be able to show you a little taste of what we witnessed. Which makes today a big day here at Baeble! Today we're finally rolling out a couple songs from the set - "Remember" and "Sure Thang" - for your viewing pleasures. I think you'll be more than a little tickled by this bombastic performance.
